Its mid May already and I forgot to post in my blog. Swingin Sisters and me on keys, Kent on drums and Jay on Guitar did a fabulous show for Cabaret week at the CheckOut. We had a rollicking good time. I will be playing a few random afternoons this summer first one being May 31 for the Sugar Hole at the Color Club. Come grab an ice cream and sing with me! the Hootenanny is May 29…. SO much fun! hats and boots recommended!!
Getting ready for April 2026. Winter went by so fast I forgot to post. January was a pretty full month, I celebrated 10 years teaching at Old Town School and was awarded a beautiful wooden Metronome with my name engraved. February was pretty full too, March is Almost over….. and I have no complaints.. Well I do, but I’ll keep those to myself. check out my calendar for public events and #openmics.

January is half over, and it’s been busy already. Picked up a couple sub dates at Gibson’s near the Airport. Hope you can stop in!!! Made a pack with myself, to make time for friends; so I have lots of lunch dates on my calendar. It’s Mayor Gene’s PopUP birthday party this weekend and I’m Very Excited to do my HOOTenanny Hoedown with Glenn DeMichele on pedal steel. Always a HOOT!!! Wear Your Hats and Boots!!! I hope I get pics this time, usually I’m too busy playing and forget.

Forgot to blog November which was a big birthday month for me. I threw myself a PopUP pianobar party at Borelli’s and 80 of my closest friends showed up and we sang & played all night. So Much FUN!
December is here!!

December 5 is Ladies Nite and our theme is Comfort and Joy, always followed by an openmic.

Time is flying, I had so much fun during the Octoberfest Season playing my accordion with the Musikmeisters, including a small residency at the famous Berghoff Restaurant for a month of Saturdays.
Today is Sonia Oyola’s annual Halloween PopUP pianobar party, I will not be in costume this year as I will go straight to Hugo’s for my regular gig, and I feel it’s too early. In case you are interested I will be handing out candy in my Last Wednesday Costume at my house Halloween for the first time in 15 years. Looking forward to all the little trick or treaters.
For fun and something really different for me, I will be playing with the 60 piece Willmette Band on my accordion. I will be part of the Concert program for a piece by Shastakovich called Dance No. 2 in Willmette. Fall Concert 620 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka, IL FREE FREE FREE 7:30pm October 24, 2025.

Getting a head start on September because there are so many places to go….and it starts with a Holiday on Monday the 1, Happy Labor Day and I hope I see you all soon. My calendar is up to date so check it out. 3 big events besides my usual steadies at Gaslight club and Hugo’s. Here are the fliers. Hello and welcome to my new webpage. July was a very relaxing month for me, I spent the first 10 days subbing for my good friend at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
Got to see my daughter’s band several times. You should follow FINOM. Art on the Mart is featuring the Seldom’s dance troupe with music by FINOM until September 7.
First Wednesdays at Drew’s on Halsted August 6, I’ll be featuring Val Leventhal, with her rich vocals and a couple of her original songs in the mix should prove to be a fabulous evening of listening pleasure. Always followed by an openmic.
I’m looking forward to the next Hootenanny Hoedown with Glenn Demichele on pedal steel. We will be playing for you singers all country all night at the Hungry Brain. A new spot for us, totally cozy, totally perfect for our event August 8, at 7pm.
