Sami Scot
Sami has played professionally since she was 10 years old in a band with her sister and school friends in St. Louis, MO called “Brothers, Sisters, and Me”. Later she started her own trio where at 23 she was contracted by Splendid Music in France to tour for one year opening for Michele Simonet and recording her first single “Choo Choo Train”.

She returned to the states and relocated in San Francisco where she played at the prestigious Mark Hopkins Hotel and in Reno at Harrah’s Casino as well as performances at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

She toured the world with 5-star cruise line Royal Viking as a solo performer and singer. She performed extended pianobar engagements in Japan, France, Switzerland, Norway and Sweden. She returned to the Midwest and settled in Chicago. She opened for Ike Cole at the famous Pump Room for 2 years, spent 11 years at the Drake hotel Coq D’or, and decade long run at Carmine’s Restaurant on Rush St just to mention a few.

She was chosen for the Canfield 50/50 thirst quencher jingle, and you can hear her voice on a number of inhouse radio promos for St. John’s Hospital.

In addition to being a song writer with several CD’s Sami is also a teaching artist since 2015 at the esteemed Old Town School of Folk Music. She has recorded several CD’s of her original music which are available for purchase on bandcamp.com
